The Futon Cover Company makes more than just futon covers!
We also make Daybed covers, Duvet covers, Bed skirts, Bed caps, any size Pillow sham and Window treatments. Custom size covers are also available in most of our fabrics. If you are looking for replacement indoor or outdoor cushion covers, or if you need to re cover something that is an unusual size, please contact us so we can better assist you.
All of our futon covers are made with 3 or 2 sided zippers making them easy for anyone to put on and easy to remove when the cover needs to be cleaned.
All covers are constructed with a 5 1/2“ or 6” corner or ‘Loft’ which typically fits a standard 7“to 9” thickness futon mattress.
If you have a thinner 6“ futon mattress, a standard cover may fit a little loose and you might prefer to order a cover with a 4” loft to get a more fitted look.
If your mattress is thicker than 10" you may want to increase the loft size of you cover but typically most futon mattresses do not exceed the average thickness and a standard 6" loft size on a cover fits perfectly.
An additional charge will apply to any change in the loft size of a cover.
Daybed covers are made to cover the top of the mattress and drop to the floor with split tailored corners. The average drop to the floor is 21”.
Duvet covers are a European style comforter and can be made reversible for a different look with your choice of 2 coordinating fabrics.
Bed skirts are tailored and constructed with 3 box pleats. A standard drop is 16“ or less.
Bed caps are made like a fitted sheet in any of our fabrics and are an ideal way to cover your mattress on a low profile platform bed where you do not wish to cover the sides or just want a simple ‘no fuss’ look.
Pillow shams can be made with a straight knife edge, a flanged edge, a boxed edge or with piping.v Window treatments include valances and curtain panels. These are made either as a flat panel, a rod pocket, a tab top, a pencil pleat or pinch pleat.
How to measure your futon mattress:
Before ordering your cover we recommend that you check the size of your futon mattress Futons are soft sided and have rounded corners, so when measuring it is normal to be a few inches shorter in the length and width compared to a traditional mattress.
To accurately measure the corner or thickness of your mattress use a straight edged rule and lay flat on top of the mattress extending past the corner, then measure the distance from the bottom corner to the top of the rule.
The correct loft size of your cover will always be approximately 2" to 3" less than the thickness of your mattress.
